On May 25th, 2019, Taryn and Clinton said their vows in an intimate ceremony underneath the Tree of Life in New Orleans, Louisiana. I’m so grateful they asked me to be their photographer and to share this special day with them. As a “new to the area” New Orleans wedding photographer, this was my first time shooting a wedding at Audubon Park, and let me tell you, The Tree of Life is an impressive backdrop for a ceremony to say the least!

Taryn went back and forth as to whether or not she wanted me to come take photos of her getting ready, however, I pretty much talked her into it! I feel like this is such a special part of a wedding day and some of my favorite photographs are always from this timeframe. Documentary style photography is what I love the most. It has my heart. These candid, real-life shots are always the most emotion-filled and storytelling of a wedding day.

Taryn got ready in her own home with her two daughters. I think this makes them even more special!

Taryn looked absolutely stunning. The back of her dress and those sleeves were perfection. And can we talk about how gorgeous the light was for these bride and groom portraits?! Oh how I love that golden glow through the trees and the Spanish Moss. It was the perfect setting, and it certainly didn’t hurt that these two had the most incredible chemistry together. For instance, the way he gazed at her! That, as well as the way he touched her face. It was quite apparent they were both smitten.
