Louisiana newborn and family photography
Over the years, In-home family sessions have become an absolute favorite of mine to photograph, especially so when there’s a new addition involved. There’s something so special about documenting a family in their own space and there are many reasons I prefer to do newborn sessions at home. For instance, this is where your memories are made and where life happens. In addition, new babies tend to be more relaxed and cooperative in the familiar setting of your home. I love combining a family and a newborn session. Siblings always make everything more interesting and fun! I enjoyed every minute of my time spent with this amazing family.
After this session Hannah left me the sweetest review. Probably my favorite to date. I’ll just drop that right here… 😉
“The thought of a photographer coming into our home that houses a toddler and newborn didn’t seem too thrilling! But after our experience with Jessica, I’ll forever have my doors open for her. She came in and made fast friends with my kiddos, laughed with us, and captured our life that sadly will pass by so quickly.
Thanks to her, I now cherish the little things that can be easily overlooked. Pajamas, sticky fingers, dirty diapers, laughs, baby cries, brotherly love…all the feels of new parents trying to figure out how to raise children. We experienced no stress with trying to coordinate outfits, wrangle the kids, or trying to look our “best”. She made photography so natural and relaxing. What was even better was how the photos turned out! Her use of natural light made our pictures look amazing. I recommend her to all families looking for a fantastic photographer and photos that will forever keep memories alive.”
ALL THE FEELS.
My favorite part is that because of the time I spent with their family, Hannah has started to slow down and notice the extraordinary everyday. She realizes that even though it’s hard, what she’s going through is so very beautiful. The little things she overlooked before, she’s now soaking up and taking in. YES MAMA YES. I’m completely humbled by this. At the same time, I’m even more driven to keep creating this kind of imagery. I do what I do because of what it ends up meaning to the people I do it for. She get’s it.
If you’re on the fence about having photos done in your own home, I encourage you to just do it! Embrace the chaos. Embrace the mess. Because it’s important. I will show you how incredible your every day truly is.
