Custom Brand Photography

I’ve recently had the pleasure of doing some custom brand photography for Mrs. Laura of Laura Beasley Music Studio. She is also the very first feature in my new blog series, Feature Friday’s! Each Friday, I’ll be showcasing a local small business or entrepreneur on the blog.

Laura offers private music lessons for both piano and vocals out of her home on the Northshore in Mandeville, Louisiana.

It was my goal with the following images to showcase Laura’s gift for teaching, and the fact that she makes learning music a fun experience for even the youngest children!

Laura’s Interview:

Tell me a little bit about who you are as a person. What are your hobbies and interests? What makes you, you?

I am a native Mandevillian, member of the Who-Dat nation and a Tiger fan! My priorities in order are God, My husband and family, work and friends. I have been engaged and in love with music since I was in the womb and I love to enjoy the arts with my friends. I’m a big fan of color and can often be found wearing bright and cheery colors because they make me happy. I also love being outdoors on sunny days and am not a big fan of cold weather.

Please give me a basic description of your business including products and services offered.

Beginner to late intermediate piano lessons including theory and chord piano. (Ages 4-104)

Beginner to advanced vocal lessons. (Ages 8-108)

Professional prep including appearance and stage presence. Studio recording prep and development. Worship leading. All audition prep.

Tell me about your “reasons why”. What motivates you to get out of bed every morning and do what you do?

First, I love people and enjoy building life-long relationships. Second, I love to see my students grow in their talent and abilities. I love to challenge my students and teach them to challenge themselves because I am thrilled when they meet and exceed those challenges. Finally, I like filling my days with music, love and laughter.

Tell me something unique about your business. What sets you apart from others in your industry?

My studio is decidedly Christian based. Excellence, love and grace work together in training the whole individual to become top notch people as well as musicians.

Brag on yourself a little. What makes you proud of your business? Tell me about your accomplishments!

I’ve been in business 26+ years and most of my business comes from word of mouth. Many of my students continue to grow with me through primary & secondary education as well as into professional music. I help lay a solid foundation and know how to properly prepare and advance my students into whatever aspect of music they choose to pursue.

Tell me about how your business helps people.

My business helps people by building lifetime relationships through the common love and interest of music performance. My studio confidentiality and level of encouragement builds students up rather than tearing them down.

Is there anything going on that people should know about?! Tell me about any promotions, big events, etc. that may be happening now or in the near future.

I haven’t produced a recital in a number of years (because of the level of stress it puts on everyone involved), so I am looking for opportunities in the community to perform live, and am in the process of making a local recording studio available to my students who desire experience in that arena.
